Peter Owen, Chairman
Peter spent 21 years at British Airways plc until 1990, with his final role as Director of Operations. Since 1990, Peter has held various roles, including Chief Executive Officer of Innocan Inc, from 1990 to 1994; Chief Executive Officer of Aer Lingus plc, from 1993 to 1994; Chief Executive Officer of PPP Healthcare Group plc, from 1994 to 1998; Chief Executive Officer of The Corporate Services Group plc from 1999 to 2002; a Director of Sun Life and Provincial Holdings plc in 1999; a Director of Guardian Royal Exchange plc from 1998 to 1999; and until 2005, Executive Chairman of Cox Insurance Holdings plc. Peter is also currently a Director of XL Leisure Group and is also a Director of Clear Technology Inc.

Lawrence Hunt, Chief Executive Officer
Lawrence, who founded Silverjet Aviation Limited in 2004, has been involved with six start-up businesses since 1984, two as Chief Executive. These included Novell, a US technology business which listed on Nasdaq in 1987; BMS, a technology consulting partnership which was sold to Cap Gemini in 1992; Database Management Sciences Limited, which was sold to IBM in 1993; Rapid Travel Solutions Limited, which was sold to Telewest Communications plc in 2003; and lowcosttravelgroup.com Limited, of which Lawrence is currently a Non-Executive director.

David Fleming, Technical and Operations Director
David spent 34 years at British Airways plc, during which time he flew the Vanguard, 1-11 and all types of 747. For 20 years he held various training and technical senior management positions. In his last 5 years at British Airways he was General Manager Technical and Training for flight operations and was an appointed AOC holder for the airline. David introduced the 747-400 into operation at British Airways and flew it from 1989 until 2001. Between 2001-2002 he was General Manager Operations for Qatar Airways. Since 2002 he has provided technical consultancy to several aviation companies.

Martin Lynch, Finance Director
Martin, who is an FCCA, spent 30 years at British Airways plc having held a number of senior finance positions in both the UK and US. His roles covered all aspects of finance in all key areas of the airline business, including Corporate Finance, Internal Audit, Revenue, Customer Service and Operations. Since leaving British Airways, he has worked as a consultant to the airline and transport industry including positions within XL Airways and Honda Europe plc. His last role was as Chief Financial Officer for the US airline Xtra Airways.

Peter Shawyer, Non-Executive Director
Peter is an FCA who worked for Deloitte & Touche LLP for 32 years, 22 years as a Partner, from 1982 until 2004, and most recently as Managing Partner. He sat on the boards of the UK, European and Central European organisations. Peter held Non-Executive directorships with Walbrook International Limited until 2003, where he was Chairman, and Liberata plc from 2000 until 2003. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of HSBC Bank plc, and HSBC France.
Peter is also Chairman of British International (a helicopter company) and also a Non-Executive Director of Ingenious Media PLC.

Amir Eilon, Non-Executive Director
Amir joins Silverjet as a Non-Executive Director following eight years as Non-Executive Director at easyJet, during which time he undertook a key role in the airline’s acquisition of Go and the securing of an option to acquire Deutsche BA. With a wealth of experience in investment banking, Amir’s finance experience includes time at CSFB Private Equity, where he was jointly responsible for a US$600m private equity fund, BZW, where he was Head of Global Capital Markets and Morgan Stanley, where he was responsible for International Equity Markets. Amir is also a Non-Executive Director of MK Airlines, a cargo airline, the Chairman of Spring plc, a LSE listed company, and a NED of Globus, an AIM listed company.

Martyn Bridger, Customer Experience Director
Martyn spent 24 years at British Airways plc, culminating in 2000 in his final role as Head of In-flight Service for the entire British Airways fleet. Since then, Martyn has provided strategic, product and service consultancy to a number of international airlines, including Qatar Airways, Emirates Airlines, United Airlines, Siberia Airlines, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, Northwest Airlines and easyJet.

Katherine Gershon, Sales & Marketing Director
Katherine joined Silverjet from Thomas Cook where she was Director of Multimedia Sales, with responsibility for operations and sales generated through Thomas Cook's TV, dotcom and call centre businesses. During her time at Thomas Cook she launched Thomas Cook TV and turned around thomascook.com to become a leading online travel agency. Prior to Thomas Cook, she has 8 years management consultancy experience advising airlines, travel companies, cruise lines and hotel groups in Europe and the US on strategy and innovation.

George Henderson, IT Director
George has 18 years of IT strategy, operations and delivery experience, 10 of which have been in online travel. He joins Silverjet from Opodo, the European online travel agency and was a member of the original management team. At Opodo for over five years, he held roles in technology, operations, and corporate development. Prior to Opodo, George worked for another online travel agency, dreamticket.com and Kuoni, the leading long-haul tour operator.

Paul Moore, Licensing Officer
Paul has over 30 years experience in airline and travel industry licensing and has served as a licensing officer for many carriers. Among the many roles he has held, he was Director Europe for Evergreen International Airline, Director of Passenger Services for Air Foyle (during a time when Air Foyle provided AOC and licensing cover for many start-up airlines including easyJet) and was the accountable manager at Air Cordial.

Glenvil Smith, Company Secretary and Legal Counsel
Glenvil has been a practising lawyer for over 30 years and brings extensive experience of advising on regulation and operation of civil air transport and aircraft finance to Silverjet. Having qualified as a Solicitor with Norton Rose, he was In-house Counsel to Dan Air, at the time the UK's second largest airline. He went on to become a Partner at the Oxford law practice of Dallas Brett and is currently a Consultant to Manches Solicitors in London. Glenvil is a Member of the European Air Law Association and a Lecturer in Air Law and Negotiation on the MSc course in Air Transport Management at City University.
