By car
Travel directions
Either:
Take the NJ Turnpike to Interchange 14 (from North) or Interchange 13A (from South). After Toll follow signs for Newark Airport.
Or:
From Garden State Parkway travel East on 1-78, take 58A (signed 1 & 9 South; To NJ 21 and US 22; Port Newark, Newark) and follow signs to Newark Airport.
Our terminal
Follow signs to Terminals A, B & C. At airport, follow signs for Terminal B (Silverjet). Go to Arrivals level where the Silverjet Lounge is found at the last door - Door 12.
Car parking
There are four types of car parking available at New York Newark airport.
Valet parking
Valet Parking located at Parking Garage P4 is:
- $36 for the first 24-hour period
- $18 for each 12-hour period or part thereof.
Valet Parking is minutes away from Terminals A, B and C. You can use the free AirTrain system to get to your terminal.
Short term parking
Short Term Parking Lots A and B, and the C Parking Garage (located in front of each terminal) is:
- $3 for the first half hour or part thereof
- $6 for up to 1 hour
- $3 for each hour or part thereafter up to a $30 maximum for a 24-hour period
Mid term parking
Daily Parking Lots P1/P3, and the P4 Parking Garage located on airport are:
- $3 for the first half hour or part thereof
- $6 for up to 1 hour
- $3 for each hour or part thereafter up to a $24 maximum for a 24-hour period
You can use the free AirTrain system to get to your terminal.
Long term parking
Economy Long-Term Parking Lot P6 (located in the North Area of the Airport) is:
- $12 for the first 24-hour period or part thereof
- $4 for each 8-hour period or part thereafter
Total travel time from P6 to terminals is approximately 20 minutes depending on traffic.
Parking for disabled customers
There are special parking rates for people with disabilities.
Travelling from P6 to the terminal via a free courtesy bus is approximately 20 minutes depending on traffic.
There are a limited number of reserved parking spaces designated for use by customers with disabilities. Designated spaces are located in each parking lot near the terminals.
Paying for parking
All types of parking can be paid for with:
- Cash (U.S. currency)
- Cheque (in U.S. currency)
- American Express
- MasterCard
- Visa
- Diners Club
- Carte Blance, and
- Discover cards
E-Z Pass is a faster way to pay for your airport parking and is accepted in all lots. (Coming year-end 2005 to Lot P6 & Lot P7 is expected to be on-line in 2006).
If you plan to park at Newark Liberty International Airport for more than 30 days, you should contact Five Star Parking the day you arrive at 973-961-6421 or 973-961-6422. Please provide them with your name, licence plate number and the estimated number of days you plan to park at Newark. Any vehicle parked over 30 days without prior notification will be towed and the owner will be subject to retrieval costs.

By train
All AirTrain rides within the airport are free, so if you only use AirTrain to connect between the airline terminals, parking, hotel shuttle and rental car facilities, no ticket is required.
AirTrain also operates connecting train services to:
- Queens
- Brooklyn
- Bronx
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
- Connecticut
Buy a NJ TRANSIT® or Amtrak® ticket to or from Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station, and that ticket covers both the NJ TRANSIT or Amtrak portion of your ride as well as the AirTrain portion. You must use the ticket twice - regardless of which direction you're traveling. You'll need to show the ticket to the conductor on the NJ TRANSIT or Amtrak train, and you'll need the ticket to pass through the fareline at Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station. So don't forget to take the ticket with you.
If you already have a NJ TRANSIT or Amtrak ticket, including a commuter weekly or monthly ticket, to a destination past the Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station, you may use it to get to or from the Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station. However, you will also need to purchase a separate $5.50 NJ TRANSIT ticket at the Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station from ticket machines located within the station.
NJ Transit tickets can be purchased from:
- Ticket machines located at the entrance to AirTrain stations in each airline terminal.
- Ticket machines located at Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station.
- NJ Transit ticket agents or ticket machines located at most NJ Transit stations.

- QuikTrak machines or Amtrak ticket agents located at Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station.

By bus
The Newark Liberty Airport Express offers direct bus services to:
- Midtown Manhattan/West Side - Port Authority Bus Terminal (42nd Street & 8th Avenue-Airport Bus Center)
- Midtown Manhattan/East Side - Grand Central Terminal (120 East 41st Street)
- Midtown Manhattan/West Side - Fifth Avenue - Bryant Park 42nd St. & 5th Avenue
- Lower Manhattan - Wall Street at Barclay and Church Streets AND Chinatown at Walker St.
Buses run between the airport & Midtown Manhattan every 15 minutes, 365 days a year.
From the Port Authority Bus Terminal you can connect to other bus services to:
- Queens
- Bronx
- Brooklyn
- Staten Island
- New Jersey
- Pennsylvania
- Upstate New York
From Grand Central Terminal you can connect to Metro-North Trains for train services to:

- Westchester
