Restricted medicines in Dubai
Dubai operates a strict anti-drug policy, with severe penalties for people convicted of drug offences.
Please note that a number of over-the-counter medicines available in the UK and US, such as Codine, require an accompanying doctor's note or prescription to be presented on arrival at Dubai to authenticate its use for the duration of the holiday.
To find out what medicines require additional documentation on entry into Dubai, download the Government's List of Restricted and Controlled Drugs.
